We are currently looking for volunteers to join us in making this event a successful one! Travel Opportunities
The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia has offered tours to its members and to Cooperating Councils—such as WACNO—for more than 20 years.
Speaker Series
The Speakers Program provides an opportunity to hear distinguished diplomats, journalists, scholars, and business and military leaders speaking on international issues in the news.

WACNO members meet on the first Thursday of each month in a different locale for PubNite, an evening of good fellowship and conversation.
Panel Discussions
Our panel discussions are the best way to gain exposure to various perspectives on international issues. Panel presentations often complement our Great Decisions programming.

Annual Dinner: “Digital Activism–Resistance, Revolution, and Media”
[ June 9, 2012; 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. ] WACNO is pleased to announce that the 2012 Annual Dinner will feature journalist and author Jordan Flaherty discussing “Digital Activism–Resistance, Revolution, and Media–From New Orleans to Egypt to Occupy”. In addition to Flaherty’s talk, President Chris Fettweis will give an overview of the organization, and the slate of nominees for the 2012-2013 Board of Directors will be presented.
Great Decisions: Middle East Realignment
[ June 19, 2012; 6:00 PM; ] Free and open to the public, Great Decisions is a discussion series with optional accompanying articles produced by the Foreign Policy Association. It is designed to create a more informed and engaged citizenry by bringing people together to talk about global affairs. A facilitator will give an overview of the topic and then lead a balanced discussion.
